OTRS AG, the vendor and world’s leading provider of the open source help desk software “OTRS”, including the supplementary IT-Service Management Module “OTRS::ITSM”, uses the established W3C standard WebRTC for its feature EasyConnect in order to make communication more professional in real time, directly in the OTRS browser window.

EasyConnnect - a state of the art feature, based on WebRTC standard

Using several devices is a part of our everyday work, making it increasingly important to maintain both quality and security at the same time. But switching between different devices or using them simultaneously can be tedious and cumbersome.

EasyConnect uses a service based on WebRTC, which establishes audiovisual contact via browser without switching devices. This way, communication is possible –even via video – without additional software or plug-ins, directly in the OTRS interface! This direct transmission of voice and video communication offers a high level of security and quality thanks to the use of end-to-end encryption.

As a result, OTRS 5s users can communicate more easily and optimally.

The video function also makes it possible to create new interaction points for improving their connection to customers, a factor that is especially important for small and medium-sized businesses. At the same time, the video function makes communication more unambiguous and engaging – at no cost!

EasyConnect thus allows to increase customer satisfaction through simple, visual contact with other parties, thereby enabling more individual and personal support.

What’s more, sales departments can now share product descriptions, requests and services more dynamically with EasyConnect’s video function. This helps the customer feel understood and assisted. EasyConnect thus helps increase the scope and quality of sales activities.

EasyConnect: a state of the art feature helping to raise the standard of customer communication.
