Acer Swift 7, the World’s Thinnest Notebook, Now Shipping and Available in the U.S.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (PRWEB) October 14, 2016 -- Acer today announced that its new ultrathin Swift 7, the world’s thinnest notebook(1), is now shipping and available in the U.S. The ultrathin Swift 7 features an aluminum unibody with rounded corners. Its gold inner surface contrasts elegantly with a matte black exterior, while an extra wide Precision Touchpad with chamfered diamond-cut effects provides a modern, yet luxurious, design.
The first model available in the Swift 7 Series is the SF713-51-M90J. It gets its powerful performance from a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7Y54 Processor (1.2GHz/ up to 3.2GHz), while a lightning fast 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM enables fast boot up and apps to open quickly.
Its 13.3-inch Full HD display with IPS technology and wide viewing angles displays data, photos and movies in crystal clarity. Bold, vibrant colors and deep powerful blacks are enabled through Acer Color Intelligence™ which delivers brilliant and vivid colors with less CPU loading by dynamically adjusting gamma and saturation in real-time, optimizing screen color and brightness.
The display is finished with a durable Corning® Gorilla® Glass, protecting it from drops and scratches. Simply turning on Acer’s BluelightShield™ feature helps minimize eye fatigue from looking at the screen for extended periods of time. An HD webcam with HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging support provides clear, bright and detailed images.
Additional high performance features include the latest wireless technology (2x2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO) for up to three times faster connections than older wireless standards, even at longer ranges (2). Dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports are included for quick data transfer, connection to an external display, and to charge the notebook. It can also recharge external devices like smartphones.
