TMNA Services Named One of the Healthiest Workplaces in America
Bala Cynwyd, PA (PRWEB) October 17, 2016 -- TMNA Services (TMNAS) is honored to be the recipient of the “Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America Award.” This coveted accolade is given only to 100 of the 5,000 U.S. companies that apply for the award each year. This is the third top workplace honor for TMNAS in the past month, in addition to the 2016 Best Places to Work in Insurance and 2016 Best Places to Work in PA awards.
On September 26, 2016, before 3,000 attendees from over 100 countries, TMNAS was presented with this award during the 8th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress (EHBC) in Washington, D.C.
“Our recent top workplace awards can be attributed to our “The Good Life” wellness program and guiding “To Be a Good Company” principles and values,” shared Akira Harashima, president and CEO of Tokio Marine North America, Inc. & TMNAS. “Being named one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America demonstrates our dedication to providing our employees with a workplace culture that supports their well-being and empowers them to make their health a priority.”
TMNAS implemented “The Good Life” employee wellness program in 2015. The program provides resources to help employees care for themselves and their dependents, and monthly engagement activities to promote healthy living. Employees at TMNAS’ Bala Cynwyd headquarters and their spouses are eligible to utilize the on-site fitness facility at no cost. Employees at other locations are eligible for discounted gym memberships and/or fitness reimbursements. TMNAS also allows an extended lunch time for employees choosing to exercise.
“Employers across the country are making remarkable strides in worksite health and we’re excited to partner with the EHBC to highlight their successes at the Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress,” said Phil Daniels, co-founder of the Healthiest Employer Award Program.
To be considered for this award, companies are scored via a 1-100 metric that examines six critical elements of workplace wellness:
• Culture and leadership commitment
• Foundational components
• Annual planning
• Communications and marketing
• Programming and interventions
• Reporting and analysis
