The Big Blue Blocks have been on our radar as an educational opportunity that would provide a ‘Wow!’ factor for our students. Gift of Play took something that was already top of mind and made it a possibility.
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 17, 2016
Imagination Playground, LLC, http://www.imaginationplayground.com, creators of the breakthrough play space concept that encourages child-directed, unstructured free play, announced today the company is on track to achieve its 2016 mission to reach 3 more children with creative play. So far in 2016, the company reports having reached 2,346,367 children at schools and family centers worldwide.
Imagination Playground President and CEO, Dave Krishock, attributes much of the company’s mission success to their Gift of Play program, which makes a set of Imagination Playground Big Blue Blocks much more affordable to organizations with financial need.
Mr. Krishock explained, “From talking to our many friends and schools and family centers, we know how much they want creative play for their children, but unfortunately funds are not always available. We ran a great program last year—the Gift of Play—offering an unprecedented discount to get these organizations the help they needed. We decided recently that it was time once again for us to do our part and bring back the Gift of Play. We know it was the right decision, because they tell us over and over.”
Expressing her excitement over Gift of Play, Jessica James, Director of Communications at Colorado Springs School said, “The Big Blue Blocks have been on our radar as an educational opportunity that would provide a ‘Wow!’ factor for our students. I saw an article about Gift of Play on Facebook that I forwarded to our administrators. It took something that was already top of mind for us and made it a possibility!”
Debbie Anderson, Assistant Director of Education, Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, Michigan, expressed similar sentiments, saying, "We wanted to create an area where younger children can design and create. The gift we received really helped us to be able to add it quickly, and potentially we may add more!"
Pat Morgan of Child’s World School in Encino, CA also expressed enthusiasm over the difference Gift of Play made for their school. “It was really good!” she said. “We would not have been able to get the blocks otherwise!”
