Suitland, Maryland (PRWEB) October 17, 2016
Andrews Federal Credit Union is teaming up with its community partner, Liberty Tax Service, to co-host a Community Shred & Share Day – so members of the community can safely dispose of old personal records and reduce the risk of identity theft or fraud. Participants can also help those in need by donating nonperishable food items in support of Southern Maryland Food Bank.
“At Andrews Federal we are committed to protecting our members’ sensitive financial information,” said Jim Hayes, President & CEO. “We aim at being proactive versus reactive in the fight against identity theft and scams.”
Participants are allowed to bring up to two containers of confidential information, documents and more to shred. A list of acceptable events can be found on Andrews Federal Credit Union’s website at http://www.andrewsfcu.org/shred-day.html.
