Reno, Nev. (PRWEB) October 17, 2016 -- Experts at AffordableCollegesOnline.org have named the 50 Best Online Community Colleges in the nation for 2016-2017. A leading source of higher education information and resources, the site evaluates data on community colleges annually to identify schools going above and beyond for students. Topping the list were East Mississippi Community College, Western Wyoming Community College, Homes Community College, Mesa Community College and Tulsa Community College.

Colleges need to meet stringent minimum requirements to make the list: each must be regionally accredited and have public or private not-for-profit status. Each school must also offer a minimum of ten online degree programs to qualify, and offer annual in-state tuition under $5,000.
