Speaking at a university is entirely different from speaking to buyers at trade shows or other business events. There’s nothing to gain but the betterment of the future of the industry.

Opensoft Inc. CEO Brett Heap will be discussing the future role of technology in print at the CIP4 Workflow Symposium on JDF, Industry 4.0 and Workflow Automation, a global organization and symposium for printers and vendors to be held Nov. 17 in Stuttgart, Germany.
In “Job Routing and Product Designing/Visualizing,” Heap will present software solutions that address workflow challenges in the printing industry, including DaVinci Designer, a subsidiary of Opensoft Inc. that offers a remote press check for graphic arts professionals and print resellers.
“Speaking at a university is entirely different from speaking to buyers at trade shows or other business events. There’s nothing to gain but the betterment of the future of the industry,” Heap shared. “I’m happy to share my experience with the technology that we are creating and using that is changing the print industry today.”
DaVinci Designer, developed by Opensoft Inc., is an intuitive online design tool and 3D proofer that enables the creation and visualization of print products. The interactive web-to-print solution generates a realistic product preview that can be rotated 360 degrees to view variances in texture, foil and spot UV. DaVinci is also capable of animating the folding and unfolding of package designs.
Opensoft Inc. will be donating an enterprise version of DaVinci Designer to the University of Stuttgart, valued at $100,000, to be used by students.
CIP4 is a not-for-profit standards association that fosters the adoption of process automation in the printing industry. The 8th CIP4 Workflow Symposium will host presentations and live product demonstrations to printers, publishers, media experts and vendors at Hochschule der Medien, Nobelstr. 10, 70569 Stuttgart, Hall 011-013. The “Job Routing and Product Designing/Visualizing” presentation is scheduled at 1:30 p.m.
