Cardinal Strengthens International IP Position With New Canadian Patent for Leading eCommerce Payment Authentication Software
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) October 18, 2016 -- CardinalCommerce, the global leader for eCommerce payment authentication, today announced it was granted a notice of allowance by the Canadian Patent Office for its Universal Merchant Platform. The Canadian patent complements similar international and U.S. patents held by the company.
Cardinal has a U.S. and international patent portfolio of more than 60 issued patents for sophisticated technology, architecture, engineering and applied sciences innovations. These patents protect Cardinal’s business and are the foundation of its eCommerce payment authentication software used by online merchants, payment processers, card issuers and banks worldwide in the card-not-present environment.
“As a company we are focused on continually innovating in online and digital commerce technology to ensure our Customers can grow their businesses and process payments quickly, securely and with confidence across the global economy,” said Mike Keresman, Cardinal’s Chief Executive Officer. “This latest notice of allowance issued by the Canadian Patent Office further reinforces both our commitment to innovation and to protecting our intellectual property.”
Cardinal’s category-leading Cardinal Consumer Authentication (CCA) is part of the Universal Merchant Platform, which gives merchants and financial institutions total control over their authentication strategy while protecting their online payments.
