Lookthinkmake Celebrates Leadership Austin Selection, Profiles in Power Finalists
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) October 21, 2016 -- Today, lookthinkmake – a full service advertising and public relations agency based in Austin, Texas – is proud to announce a number of awards and recognition received by leadership within the organization this fall. Recently, lookthinkmake Partner Patricia Buchholtz was selected to be a part of the prestigious Leadership Austin Essential Class of 2017, and earlier this month, Buchholtz and lookthinkmake PR Director Casey Miller were named finalists in the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power competition.
“Everyone involved with both Leadership Austin and Profiles in Power is doing such important, meaningful work here in Central Texas, and it is a huge compliment to be counted among this group of distinguished people who are making a difference in Austin and beyond,” Buchholtz said.
Leadership Austin is a highly-regarded nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for emerging and community leaders to develop and hone their leadership skills. Since 1980, almost 2,000 influential Central Texans have graduated from the Leadership Austin’s flagship program, the Essential class. Patricia’s 2017 cohort is comprised of 60 prominent community leaders from varied industries and backgrounds, who, over the next nine months, will work together to develop their personal and professional leadership skills; learn about and openly discuss issues affecting Greater Austin; and build meaningful relationships with each other.
“So far, I have been most impressed with how Leadership Austin crafts their class,” Buchholtz said. “Our class has such a great mix of people from different backgrounds– business leaders, nonprofit and civic leaders, from different industries and points of view – and I believe that this kind of diversity offers opportunities for developing a deeper understanding of our community, and what it takes to continue to make Austin a healthy, well-rounded city.”
Following Buchholtz’s selection for Leadership Austin, she was also named a finalist for the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power awards – along with lookthinkmake’s PR Director Casey Miller, who was a finalist in the Rising Star category for women under 30 years old. Of 108 nominees, Buchholtz and Miller were two of only 30 finalists, and the only finalists in the advertising and public relations industry.
