The American Group Travel Awards (AGTA) recognize the top organizations and individuals in North America for delivering the highest quality of services and experiences to group travelers. There are 25 outstanding award categories ranging from Best Group Hotel Brand and Best Group Cruise Line to Best Group Destination.
AGTA was created in 2013 by HotelPlanner and Meetings.com, the largest seller of online group travel in the world and premier site for meeting and event planning. The third annual awards show will take place at the Diamond Horseshoe Theatre at the Paramount Hotel in New York City on November 14, 2016. Included in the evening’s events is a charity fundraiser, held to support the tremendous efforts to end childhood cancer. By donating to St. Jude at the event, attendees will participate in the Diamond and Champagne Raffle and have the opportunity to win a 1 karat diamond or a magnum of champagne. AGTA is pleased to announce that all proceeds of this year’s Diamond and Champagne Raffle will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude’s is a nonprofit medical treatment and research facility focused on changing the way the world understands, treats and cures childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute devoted solely to children. Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened in 1962.
