Clifton, NJ (PRWEB) October 25, 2016 -- Joseph Federico, VP and Director of Operations of NJMET, Inc., announced the company's 18th annual Thanksgiving charity food drive will once again benefit Eva’s Kitchen and Oasis – A Haven for Woman and Children, both located in Paterson NJ.
"For the past 18 years, NJ MET Inc has sponsored a food drive at Thanksgiving to support Eva’s Kitchen. The Thanksgiving project is just one of the charitable drives undertaken throughout the year by NJ MET.
It has been a sincere pleasure to encourage everyone in our area to contribute canned goods and other food products to help feed the homeless and hungry in the Passaic County area,” said Joseph Federico from the company's headquarters located in Clifton NJ."
In addition to the food drive, NJMET also holds an internal fund raiser to help raise money to bring apple and pumpkin pies to the people of the Oasis -- A Haven for Woman and Children, in Paterson NJ. “A few years ago we had decided to combine the food drive with the Oasis project which always turns out to be a fun event over the Thanksgiving season,” Joseph Federico added.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the food drive can drop off canned goods at NJ MET Inc.’s headquarters at 1240 Main Ave., Clifton NJ. (NJ MET will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25th for the holiday.) Donations will be accepted for a week after the Thanksgiving holiday.
NJ MET employees will personally deliver all of the donated goods to Eva’s Kitchen and Oasis Haven in Paterson, NJ on the day before Thanksgiving. They will follow up with a post-Thanksgiving delivery of any food donated after Wednesday, November 23rd.
