Calgary, Alberta (PRWEB) October 24, 2016
As a 5-year-old boy, Steve Jamnicky developed a love of traveling by car and an interest in exotic locales from his father. It was then when he found Ushuaia, Argentina, on a globe and decided that he wanted to visit the southernmost point of South America.
“Better by Car by Far” details Jamnicky’s three-year journey as he sets out from his home near Calgary, Alberta, with his daughter Emily to drive the length of two continents and a voyage to Antarctica.
During the trip Jamnicky discovers surfing, visits many local hotspots and destinations, and meets many new friends. He also shares his troubles while navigating border crossings, poor road conditions and minor mechanical breakdowns in remote locations.
“I want to tell readers what I learned during this journey: that people can learn a new language at any age, they can learn a difficult sport, and they can start a new life in an unfamiliar place if they choose to do so,” Jamnicky said. “No obstacle is too great that it can’t be dealt with and overcome.
“This book is for people who have a love of travel and adventure, and for those who may not know what to do when they retire. I say, ‘Don’t be afraid of the unknown.’ I encourage them to not wait until it’s too late before they start exploring, whether it’s your province, your country or the world.”
If you’ve ever wanted to travel spontaneously, then “Better by Car by Far” will allow readers to see where the road less traveled can take you.
