The Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce’s group for businesswomen, AchieveHERs, invites the public to attend this years Signature Luncheon event with internationally best-selling author, Ashley Rhodes-Courter. The luncheon will be held on November 10, 2016 at the Carillon Hilton from 11:30am – 1:00pm. Attendees will hear the author’s inspiring story about how embracing adversity can empower us to triumph and succeed.
Ashley Rhodes-Courter’s memoir, “Three Little Words”, is an international best-seller and chronicles the 10 years she spent in the foster care system where she was shuffled between 14 different foster families—some quite abusive. The memoir has been optioned for a major motion picture.
Despite her childhood trauma, Ashley’s level of success is impressive by any standard. As a student, some of her many accolades included having her grand prize winning essay published by the NY times and being named one of Glamour Magazine’s top 10 College Women. After obtaining a Master’s Degree, she ran for State Senate at the age of 26. She has been a guest at the White House and the subject of prominent media attention. Her second book, “Three More Words”, was released in 2015.
Ashley is now an advocate for change, a biological, adoptive and foster mom and sought-after speaker who empowers audiences to move from challenge to champion by translating negative life experiences into meaningful, productive contributions to business and community. Her story will inspire you to triumph over mistakes and misfortune, and leverage life experiences into leadership.
