NAAMTA Auditors were professional and easy to work with. Questions were appropriate for industry standards and very thorough. The most important aspect to me is that there is no bias with NAAMTA, and the auditors are not part of competing programs.
South Jordan, Utah (PRWEB) October 24, 2016
NAAMTA’s Accreditation program is established upon the NAAMTA standards, and focuses on quality patient care and transport safety. After completing a comprehensive audit of administrative documentation, medical practices, and facilities, NAAMTA is awarding Guardian Flight (Wyoming and Utah) medical transport accreditation for their fixed and rotor wing programs.
Guardian Flight demonstrates compliance to each of the defined standards, excels in identifying best practice procedures, and instills these values in each employee. NAAMTA verified compliance through employee interviews, process reviews, and on-site evaluations, all of which were conducted using ISO 9001:2008 auditing guidelines.
Lisa Gee, a member of the NAAMTA auditing team stated, “The administrative portion of audit provides an in-depth look at the policies and procedures of the organization, but it isn’t until the site audit that we are able experience the culture of an organization. Culture is a reflection of the repeated performance of personnel, and how they work together to achieve a common goal. Guardian Flight personnel, including their management, pilots, medical crews, and mechanics, consistently demonstrate both on paper and in person, a commitment to safety and well being of patients, and to each other.”
In speaking of the accreditation process, Matt Strauss, Program Director at Guardian Flight stated, “NAAMTA Auditors were professional and easy to work with. Questions were appropriate for industry standards and very thorough. The most important aspect to me is that there is no bias with NAAMTA, and the auditors are not part of competing programs.”
In addition to the accreditation award, Guardian Flight joins the NAAMTA Alliance. This alliance unifies organizations in the promotion of continuous improvement in safety and patient care. Continuous improvement is the result of shared education, experience and quality management principles by alliance members. NAAMTA salutes Guardian Flight for achieving accreditation and looks forward to the contributions they will share with the NAAMTA Alliance.
NAAMTA is an accreditation standard-bearer for the medical transport industry, offering procedures that include guidelines for developing a system focused on transport safety, patient care, quality management, and continuous improvement. NAAMTA is globally recognized for its ISO 9001:2008 QMS certification and the implementation of quality practices in their accreditation program. NAAMTA’s certified quality management system is audited annually by PRI Registrar which is an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board-approved Registrar accredited to certify organizations to a variety of management systems including ISO 9001.
