Vacation Rental Professionals to Meet in Wilmington on October 26
Wilmington, N.C. (PRWEB) October 23, 2016 -- As the Wilmington City Council considers changing how short-term rentals are regulated in the city, the vacation rental industry’s leading magazine, VRM Intel, is coming to Wilmington on October 26, bringing together vacation rental management companies from across the country to promote professionalism in property management.
Over a dozen nationally recognized experts in the professionally managed vacation rental industry will be speaking at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside on Wednesday, providing education about operations, marketing, human resources, housekeeping, travel insurance and technology.
Among the speakers are Ben Edwards, president of the Vacation Rental Managers Association, Park Brady, former CEO of ResortQuest, Doug Kennedy, hospitality expert and founder of the Kennedy Training Institute, and Durk Johnson, executive director of the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals Association.
In addition, Mike Harrington, president at Topsail Realty Vacations and president of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Association, will be providing a legislative update on short term rentals, and the event is hosting a panel discussion about recovery efforts from Hurricane Matthew.
“The beach destinations surrounding the Wilmington area represent an enormous market share of the country’s vacation rental economy,” said Amy Hinote, VRM Intel founder and editor-in-chief. “We decided to host this inaugural event in Wilmington to bring together the top minds in vacation rental management and to show our support for the area in the aftermath of Matthew. The lineup of speakers is unparalleled, and we hope to continue this event in Wilmington year after year.”
The all-day seminar is bringing companies from California, Oregon, Florida, Idaho, Arizona, Colorado, Maine, Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, and South Carolina to the area.
In addition, the sponsors of the event are hosting a benefit on Tuesday evening to benefit the recovery efforts.
