UrbanStems Launches in Philadelphia Today
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 26, 2016 -- UrbanStems, the flower delivery startup that makes sending happiness an everyday experience, is officially launching in Philadelphia. Their seamless gifting experience offers farm fresh, seasonal bouquets starting at $35 with no fees and free same-day delivery. UrbanStems expansion will change the way Philadelphians send and receive flowers in over 18 neighborhoods, from Fishtown and South Philly to University City and Old City.
“The idea for UrbanStems came from many failed flower delivery attempts in Philadelphia, so we’re so excited to finally fix the problem and bring the best possible flower delivery experience to a place where I’ve spent some of my favorite years,” said Ajay Kori, one of the UrbanStems co-founders.
Unlike traditional florists, UrbanStems is disrupting the traditional model by creating a seed-to-door supply chain—one that cuts out the middleman and sources directly from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. The curated selection of 4-5 stylish bouquets are created by an in-house designer and rotate seasonally. Once ordered, each arrangement is hand delivered by UrbanStems bike couriers in as little as an hour. An email confirmation letting the sender know that their delivery arrived to its destination completes the customer experience.
The Pennsylvania Ave Collection is available now for delivery in Philadelphia. The collection draws inspiration from the White House and features bouquets guest-designed by former White House Florist Laura Dowling. To send in Philadelphia now, visit https://urbanstems.com/cities/philadelphia.

About UrbanStems
UrbanStems was conceived by co-founder Ajay Kori after a frustrating experience led him to the realization that the traditional flower delivery model was in need of disruption. He partnered with college friend Jeff Sheely, and together they set out to create a fresh approach that would solve the common concerns around customer service, quality, reliability and transparency. UrbanStems launched on Valentine’s Day 2014 with the goal of making it incredibly easy and fun to brighten someone’s day with flowers. As they geared up to launch in Washington, DC, three co-founders joined the team: Jereme Holiman, Head of Operations; Chetan Shenoy, CTO; and Scott Simpson, Creative Director. Since then, UrbanStems has expanded to New York City, Baltimore and Philadelphia. In May 2016, UrbanStems announced a $6.8m Series A funding round led by SWaN & Legend Venture Partners with investments from Middleland Capital, NextGen Venture Partners, Interplay Ventures, and Sagamore Ventures.
