Rowpar Pharmaceuticals Declares Election Day a Holiday, Employees Given Day Off To Vote
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) October 25, 2016 -- Today Rowpar Pharmaceuticals, makers of CloSYS Oral Health Care products, announced in a bold step that it will be closing their office on Election Day November 8th and making it a paid employee holiday. Rowpar is believed to be one of the first private companies to take such a position elevating the importance of an employee’s right to vote to a paid time off holiday.
When asked why the company was making Election Day a paid time off holiday Jim Ratcliff, CEO of Rowpar, stated "Election day as a holiday is certainly not a new idea. We just discussed it internally and thought that we should put our money where our mouth is as a health care company that cares about people and give our employees the time to get out and exercise their right to vote. This election season if nothing else has raised the very importance of Election Day as well as created additional stress."
Andy Gritti, Executive Vice President of Rowpar added "All of our products are developed, sourced, and made in the USA so it was just a natural step to take by declaring Election Day an official company holiday. Nothing is more "made in the USA" than the right to get out and vote. We plan to inform all of our customers that our office will proudly be closed on Tuesday November 8th, so our employees can vote as there is a lot going on nationally and locally that could use their attention. We hope this catches on and perhaps our supplier partners will consider making Election Day a holiday in their respective companies as well."
