Akhil Bhaskar Joins Levvel’s Leadership Team as the Company Expands to the Asia-Pacific Region
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) October 24, 2016 -- Levvel, LLC, a fast-growing IT consulting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is pleased to announce the addition of Akhil Bhaskar to its executive leadership team. Bhaskar joins as the Managing Director of the company’s offerings in the Asia-Pacific region. In this position, he will have profit and loss responsibility for the APAC region and will oversee sales, delivery, hiring, and day-to-day operations.

Levvel’s decision to build a presence in the region comes as it seeks opportunities to better serve their clients, many of whom are increasingly serving global markets. “We are already working with a number of U.S.-based customers having operations in Australia and Asia; it made sense to build the capability to serve them locally,” says John Espey, CEO of Levvel.

Bhaskar brings over 16 years of IT experience to Levvel, particularly in the areas of enterprise software, cloud technology, and integration. He relocated to Melbourne, Australia in 2010 to establish the JBoss Middleware practice for Red Hat. Over the next three years, he helped create teams spanning sales, technical sales, and consulting roles, achieving a thirty-fold increase in revenues across the Australia and New Zealand region. Prior to his time in Australia, he was responsible for the company’s middleware consulting offerings in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States and in Canada. Most recently, he served as Red Hat’s Director of Global Partner and Technology Enablement. He has also consulted customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region on a number of topics, such as DevOps, Cloud, and open source.
