Financial Services Technology Leader Bob Olson Joins ThoughtFocus Team

Bob brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry working with many global financial services and technology firms to help them improve their performance and profitability. He is known for helping clients maximize the business value of their technology investments and for building long-term relationships based on that business value.

Bob has managed diverse divisions of U.S. banks including technology, cash management, correspondent banking, check, loan, branch operations, product management, payments and wholesale banking. He has helped financial institutions reach their growth, expense management and revenue objectives through global sourcing strategies. Bob is a thought leader in financial services, the author of numerous articles and a frequent speaker and panelist.
Prior to joining ThoughtFocus, Bob held key executive management positions, most recently Managing Partner of the financial services consulting division for the Americas of CSC, and Vice President of Global Financial Services for Unisys. Earlier, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Carretek, LLC, he pioneered bank operations offshoring and previously was Executive Vice President of Carreker Corporation, responsible for financial institution relationships around the globe.
Bob has also been a part of two banking organizations, holding positions of Executive Vice President of the bank holding company Magna Group (now Regions Financial Corporation) and Group Vice President of Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America).
Bob is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.
