TEDxLA Reveals Full Speaker Lineup and New Activities for Thought-provoking Conference
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 25, 2016 -- As the December 3rd TEDxLA conference, an independently organized event licensed by TED, held at Hollywood’s iconic Dolby Theatre draws closer, additional speakers have been added to the lineup of luminaries slated to speak at the event. In addition to bringing together some of the biggest and brightest minds across the realms of technology, entertainment and design, TEDxLA is also inviting attendees to build connections with their peers through the introduction of a new interactive activity, Brain Dates, taking place at the conference which ticket buyers can apply for now. This intellectual match-making platform will allow TEDxers to incubate their ideas alongside their peers for a truly immersive knowledge exchange.
The impressive list of thought leaders slated to share their stories with the audience of over 3,000 TEDxers has been further bolstered by the recent addition of remarkable minds, including director, producer and pioneer of high-end time-lapse cinematography Louie Schwartzberg; Jawbone co-founder and chairman Alexander Asseily; Dolby Labs Chief Scientist Poppy Crum, and MIT research scientist Dr. Barmark Heshmat. But it’s about more than just the speakers at TEDxLA 2016, as audience members are encouraged to not only imagine the groundbreaking ideas that will shape and enhance the future, but to act on these ideas by working together to bring each conceptualized solution to life.
“This year’s ‘Imagine’ theme inspired us to create a medium for our speakers and attendees to share their thought- and action-provoking ideas with each other and, eventually, the world so we are happy to announce the additional lineup of speakers, activities and scholarships for the Los Angeles communities,” said TEDxLA Organizer and Curator Amir Banifatemi.
In a continued effort to cultivate the gathering of unique outlooks from diverse characters, TEDxLA has announced a new scholarship program that will cover the complete cost of tickets for 200 individuals who are highly engaged in community-driven activities. Scholars are invited to apply online at http://www.tedx.la/scholarship, with special attention given to students, researchers, professors and budding entrepreneurs interested in engaging with every stimulating activity that TEDxLA has to offer.
Best seats are now available on Ticketmaster for $250. Student discounts are available with the promo code “zStudentsTEDxLA2016” and valid Student ID will be required at check-in on December 3rd.
