Top Influential Hispanic Leaders for 2017 to be Recognized at HITEC 100 Awards and Gala at Conclusion of HITEC’s Executive Leadership Summit

The Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC), the premier global executive leadership organization of senior business and IT executives, today announced its HITEC 100, the 100 most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the Information Technology industry. The top 100, who are recognized for their leadership and achievements in the technology industry and the community, will be recognized during the gala HITEC 100 Awards Reception and Dinner at the Westin St. Francis in in San Francisco on Oct. 28, held at the conclusion of HITEC’s Executive Leadership Summit.

“The core mission of the HITEC 100 program is to highlight and showcase outstanding professionals who have excelled in the business of IT, are role models who inspire young people to pursue careers in technology and motivate professionals to continue to excel and connect with the Hispanic community,” said Andre Arbelaez, president of HITEC. “We at HITEC are very impressed with and proud of the class of 2017 honorees, and we congratulate and salute them for their continued career achievements in the ever-changing global landscape of information technology.”

Awardees represent all sectors of the IT industry, and many are top individuals within the Fortune 500 companies in which they work.

In addition to presentation of the HITEC 100, the executive council also is honored to recognize the organization’s 2016 Corporate Award Winners, including:

  • Advocate of the Year Award: Anthony Scott, Chief Information Officer of the United States of America
  • Estrella Award: Maria Martinez, President, Global Customer Success & Salesforce Latin America, Salesforce
  • Corporation of the Year Award: Hewlett Packard Enterprise
  • Member of the Year Award: Marcos Jimenez, Chief Executive Officer, Softtek USA
