Beachside Rehab Announces “Give Recovery a Chance Everyday”
Fort Pierce, Florida (PRWEB) October 26, 2016 -- This November, Beachside Rehab will host Give Recovery a Chance Everyday, a fundraising event that’s also designed to raise awareness about addictions treatment. The holidays and winter, in general, can be a difficult time for many, and this is especially true for people struggling with substance abuse. Not only is alcohol more readily available, but this time of year also comes with a great deal of financial stress, family pressure, and high expectations.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 12 p.m. The goal of the event is twofold: to raise awareness about the help and treatment that’s available to addicts, and also to raise money that will provide financial assistance to low-income individuals who are in need of addiction treatment.
As part of the awareness campaign, the event will kick off with a march through the town of Bucyrus, Ohio. Although it’s generally a small and quiet town, Bucyrus and the surrounding areas have recently seen a rash of heroin overdoses and drug-related fatalities. Addiction can strike anyone, anywhere, and at any time, and part of Beachside Rehab’s mission is to help educate people about this disease.
During the event, there will also be live music from three bands, and Suburban Lanes has donated the use of their bowling alley. There will also be a raffle with a grand prize of a flat-screen television. There is a silent auction featuring a custom-made guitar from a local craftsperson, and there will be time dedicated for people who want to share their stories of recovery, and those who want to share the memory of a loved one they lost to addiction. In an effort to help those suffering from substance abuse, Beachside will also be giving away up to 20 scholarships for treatment donated by local rehab centers.
Beachside is ensuring that the event will reach as wide an audience as possible by inviting area newspapers in towns such as Mansfield, Marion, Crestline, and Galion to cover the event. This way, anybody in the region who’s in need of addiction treatment will hear the message that they aren't alone, and that there is help available. After all, Beachside’s theme for the event is “We can and we will make a difference,” and they invite you to come and join the fight!
