Traders Point Creamery owners are proud to appoint Mark Vander Kooy as the company’s first chief executive officer. The newly created position will foster the company's continued growth and sustain its mission into the future. Under Vander Kooy's leadership, the company will advance its commitment to organic farming, elegant farmstead dining, and crafting truly nourishing dairy products.
"As our overall business grows, we find it necessary to find more creative ways that will support us in a competitive market," says Dr. Peter "Fritz" Kunz, who together with his wife Jane Elder Kunz founded Traders Point Creamery 13 years ago. "Mark brings a wealth of business experience in this role and he has been a long-time friend of the Creamery."
Vander Kooy is a proven entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in creating, managing and growing revenue in a variety of industries. Originally from Michigan, he started his career in Grand Rapids before moving to Indiana. In 2001, he founded Asset Forwarding Corporation, providing electronic recycling services to corporate clients. After a successful acquisition, Vander Kooy founded T-9Group, a consulting company focusing on corporate team structure and has acquired Indy Express, a premier local cartage company. Since 2012 he has worked closely with all aspects of Traders Point Creamery.
