O'Neil To Demo Thermoplastic Elastomers At Pack Expo Chicago
Jasper, Tenn (PRWEB) October 28, 2016 -- O’Neil Color & Compounding (http://www.oneilcolor.com), a leader in color masterbatches and custom specialty compounds for the plastics processing industry, has announced that it will display its Faraprene™ C-Series thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) for injection and extrusion at Pack Expo 2016 booth E-6782, November 6-9 in Chicago. Faraprene C, available in various hardness levels from Shore A 30 through 85, is an ideal replacement for thermoplastic rubber and PVC-based elastomers in a wide variety of applications requiring highly elastic properties.
“In addition to outperforming other competitive thermoplastic elastomers in scratch and tear resistance along with elastic behavior, Faraprene C is also an ultra-low extractable material,” said O’Neil’s Product Manager Lee Pfaffle, “making it ideal for many consumer and industrial applications.” Additionally, Faraprene C is 100 percent recyclable and contains no phthalates as found in PVC-based materials “It’s a superior choice for molders and manufacturers attempting to reduce their environmental impact,” said Pfaffle.
The Faraprene C-Series is available as high gloss, high clarity, and pre-colored or black and can be custom-formulated to meet specific manufacturing needs with additional performance enhancing additives. All Faraprene C-Series grades can be formulated to FDA compliance standards so they can be used in many consumer end-use applications.
