Greenberg Traurig’s James M. Nelson Joins the Board of Visitors of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law
PHOENIX (PRWEB) October 27, 2016 -- James M. Nelson, shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Phoenix, Sacramento, and Los Angeles offices, and co-chair of the firm’s National Labor & Employment Practice’s ERISA Litigation Team, has accepted an invitation to join the Board of Visitors of the James E. Rogers College of Law at The University of Arizona.
Members of the Board of Visitors serve as both advisors to, and ambassadors for, the James E. Rogers College of Law. Their leadership in the legal community lends valuable insight that can help shape the future of the college and provide the best opportunities to students. The Board meets once each year to discuss how to best prepare law students to enter the legal profession, with a targeted emphasis on how the school can adapt to the changes and evolving methods that members of the Board observe in their own practice.
Nelson represents employers and ERISA plan fiduciaries in matters concerning ERISA compliance, fiduciary responsibility, collective bargaining, wage and hour, employee benefits, safety, discrimination, wrongful termination, and other labor and employment issues. His experience includes complex litigation, class action defense, administrative proceedings and appeals, as well as advice and counseling to ERISA plan fiduciaries of single-employer and multi-employer plans.
