Safety Is Top Priority at J&L Castings
Waukesha, WI (PRWEB) November 01, 2016 -- On October 6, 2016, J&L Precision Castings and J&L Fiber Services of Waukesha, WI, rolled out their new Behavior Based Safety Training Program.
Behavior Based Safety Training is a process that creates a safety partnership between management and employees that continually focuses people's attentions and actions on theirs, and others, daily safety behavior. These programs focus on what people do, analyzes why they do it, and then applies a research-supported intervention strategy to improve what people do. To be successful, a Behavior Based Safety Training Program must involve all employees.
Inspired from other successful programs nationwide and after going one year free of lost time incidents, J&L was looking for the next tool to aid in their efforts of obtaining a goal of zero incidents. “We need all our employees to be engaged and on the alert to protect their fellow workers,” said Becky Schatz, Senior HR Generalist. She continues, “This program asks all employees to observe others in their work environment and have an open conversation regarding hazards and safety rules.”
J&L Precision Castings and J&L Fiber Services wants to set a new standard where everyone is involved and everyone remains safe while at work. With the new Behavior Based Safety Training Program J & L hopes to continue their record of zero workplace accidents.
