St. Lucie County Citrus Grower is Re-elected to Statewide Farm Bureau Leadership Post
Orlando, Fla (PRWEB) October 29, 2016 -- Delegates at Florida Farm Bureau’s 2016 Annual Meeting have unanimously re-elected Brant Schirard as vice president of the organization. First elected as Florida Farm Bureau vice president in 2010, Schirard will now begin his fourth consecutive term.
A St. Lucie County citrus grower and a third generation farmer, he produces citrus for both the fresh market and juice processing.
The vote was taken during a general session on Oct. 28. Delegates represent all areas of the state as well as a cross-section of Florida’s agricultural producers. More than 500 members and guests celebrated Florida Farm Bureau’s 75th anniversary at the meeting, held at the Caribe Royale Orlando, Oct. 26-28.
