2016 Marcum Innovator of the Year Award to Pentec CEO
Glen Mills, PA (PRWEB) October 31, 2016 -- Marcum LLP and Philadelphia SmartCEO recognized Joseph Cosgrove, Chairman, President and CEO of Pentec Health, Inc. as a leader in innovation at the 2016 awards ceremony held October 26, 2016 at the Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia, PA. The Marcum Award honors business leaders whose corporate innovations have positively impacted the region’s economy and whose services offer significant benefit to their customers. Award categories included biotechnology, healthcare, business services, manufacturing, real estate and technology sectors. Mr. Cosgrove was the award winner in the large manufacturing category.
Pentec Health, Inc. has traditionally provided compounded sterile medications intended for patient administration. The firm recently announced plans to enter new markets as an FDA registered outsourcing facility providing products to the hospital market. To develop its new model, Pentec looked for input from the end users. “We went to the customers, the hospital pharmacies, and brought them on in an advisory capacity. We re-engineered our entire process based on that outward-looking feedback that we received from the customers.”
In accepting the award, Mr. Cosgrove recognized the efforts of nearly 600 Pentec employees. He noted, “The process of transforming a concept to a reality requires imagination, initiative perseverance and ambition.
