A Twin Cities Meetup group is partnering with Rasmussen College to offer a hands-on workshop to optimize and transform LinkedIn profiles into magnetic, useful career tools for job seekers.

Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area job seekers wanting to maximize their employment search using LinkedIn have an opportunity to work directly with a LinkedIn expert in November.

"LinkedIn Simplified" will be offered on Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 9:30AM-12:30PM at the Rasmussen College Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove Campus. Leading the workshop is Sandy Zeiszler, a Twin Cities LinkedIn consultant and trainer.

The workshop is being sponsored by The White Box Club™, a Twin Cities Meetup group that provides encouragement, resources, and networking opportunities to anyone laid off or in career transition. The Meetup was founded by local Twin Cities author and life transition expert, Michael Thomas Sunnarborg, and has grown its membership to over 300 members in only 16 months.

“Career transitions are major life events for anyone, especially if they’ve been given the ‘white box’ treatment—told to pack up their things in a box and leave the premises,” says Sunnarborg, who started the group after he was laid off from his job in May 2015. “Learning how to use career networking tools such as LinkedIn isn’t just helpful, it’s essential in today’s working world.”

Zeiszler’s 3-hour workshop will cover strategies for making LinkedIn profiles stand out; tips for using keywords that help job seekers get found and hired; and key strategies for building great connections. Due to limited class size, early registration is encouraged.
