"Our facility is not a typical boarding kennel but rather a first-class experience for our animal companions. We provide personalized care and loving attention that is safe and fun for pets," said Dr. Travis Schaar.

The Pet Resort on Main, Victoria’s first and only veterinary-owned and supervised state-of-the-art pet resort, announces the Grand Opening of its luxury facility. The full-service pet resort for dogs and cats offers the finest amenities for four-legged guests--including luxury boarding, dog daycare and training, grooming, spa services and more.

The modern pet resort is designed with features and amenities that provide top quality care and pampering for pets. The facility is comprised of 6,200 square feet of lodging suites and condos along with an adjacent facility providing 1,800 square feet devoted to dog daycare and training. Luxury accommodations for pets include comfortable bedding, private outdoor patios, soothing music and flat screen televisions, spacious play areas, pampering and activities packages, daily maid and room service, homemade pet treats, tuck-in service and more.

The Pet Resort on Main recently rolled out the red carpet for a Grand Opening Celebration for its VIP’s (Very Important Pets) that included behind-the-scenes tours, a visit from the “Puparazzi,” a bone bar for dogs and refreshments for their owners.

The United States pet industry continues to grow. Americans will spend $62.75 billion dollars on their pets this year and $5.4 billion on services such as boarding and grooming, according to the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association.

“Our passion for animals and how they can have such a positive effect in our lives is what inspired us to open The Pet Resort on Main," said longtime Victoria veterinarian, Dr. Travis Schaar, who will operate the pet resort with his wife, Toni Schaar. “Our facility is not a typical boarding kennel but rather a first-class experience for our animal companions. We provide personalized care and loving attention that is safe and fun for pets. It’s also wonderful peace of mind for their pet parents.”

Dr. Schaar is a Victoria native and owner of Main Street Animal Hospital which he opened in 1992. Over the years, Schaar has watched pets become more important in people’s lives and truly members of their families. “We treat our own pets like family and will be caring for all of our four-legged guests the same way.”

One of the unique services provided by The Pet Resort on Main is dog daycare which allows pet owners to drop off their dogs while they’re working or running errands. The facility provides a special environment for fun and safe play while stimulating both the physical and mental needs of canines. “Dogs are social beings and often get bored or lonely when left at home by themselves all day,” explained Dr. Schaar. “I’ve seen many amazing success stories of how dog daycare can change an ill-mannered and destructive dog into one that behaves better at home.”

Conveniently located on Main Street, The Pet Resort on Main was designed with state-of-the-art engineering to provide for both the comfort and safety of pet guests. The facility is climate-controlled with purified air, smoke detectors, 24-hour surveillance cameras and the capability for daily floor-to-ceiling sanitizing for the cleanest environment. Perimeter fencing encloses the facility.

Spacious, comfortable and affordable boarding accommodations range from $24.95 to $31.95, depending on size of the pet and season. Dog day care begins at $18.95 per day. Additional add-on services are available.

The Pet Resort on Main is a family-owned, full-service luxury pet resort for dogs and cats located in Victoria, Texas. The state-of-the-art facility offers luxury lodging, dog daycare and training, grooming and spa services, and a retail center. The facility is veterinary-owned and supervised.
