Jan Mühlfeit invites business media to celebrate the release of his new book on positive leadership on 28th November, 2016.

Jan Mühlfeit, former Chairman of Microsoft Europe, will officially launch 'The Positive Leader: How Energy and Happiness Fuel Top-Performing Teams' on Monday 28th November, 2016, at the prestigious Imperial College Business School in London.

The Positive Leader, published by Pearson (FT Publishing), offers a powerful four-point approach for becoming a happier and more inspirational leader. Based on Jan’s own experiences at high-tech giant Microsoft, it addresses common leadership errors, such as:

1.    Targeting weaknesses, not strengths
2.    Managing time, not energy
3.    Failing to have a dream
4.    Putting success before happiness

With a staggering 87% of the worldwide population not engaged at work and 50% of workers choosing to leave a job to get away from their boss, modern-day leaders have a mighty challenge on their hands. Drawing on key principles of positive psychology, this engaging new book answers the plight of frustrated leaders looking for a more hopeful way to navigate the cut and thrust of the business world. Upon reading this refreshingly straightforward guide, readers will learn how to:

  • Unlock their strengths
  • Develop charisma and vision
  • Become a ‘Chief Energy Officer’
  • Create a positive team culture
