BBB Center for Character Ethics Announces the 2016 Torch Awards for Ethics Recipients
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) November 02, 2016 -- Better Business Bureau Center for Character Ethics® will honor three organizations at the 2016 Torch Awards for Ethics℠ Luncheon on Wednesday, November 16 at the Ohio State University.
"These businesses stood out with their intentional commitment to exceed marketplace standards for ethics. Additionally, they focused on conveying the importance of evaluating themselves against the six Principles of Trust,” said Kip Morse, President & CEO of BBB serving Central Ohio.
Recipients of the 2016 Torch Awards for Ethics include: Choice Recovery, Inc.; Hetter Heating & Cooling, and Zipline Logistics.
Founded in 1994, the national award-winning “educate & recognize” program is the premier public recognition of organizations that intentionally pursue the six TRUST! Principles. The award embodies BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. The Torch Awards for Ethics honors companies whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure that the organization’s practices meet the highest standards of ethics, and consequently generate trust. These companies generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers and their communities.
As the Central Ohio community continues to be the center of innovation for nonprofit and for-profit organizations, the Torch Awards stands as a celebration for trusted businesses throughout Central Ohio.
Ten Students of Integrity Scholarship recipients will also be recognized from high schools throughout central Ohio. Award-winning startups and entrepreneurs will be in attendance as well to help recognize the Torch Award for Ethics recipients.
