North Shore Eye Care Receives 4 Nominations In 12th Annual ‘Best of Long Island’ Contest
Smithtown, New York (PRWEB) November 07, 2016 -- Men and women across Long Island have once again expressed their confidence and support in North Shore Eye Care by nominating them in four categories in this year’s ‘Best of L.I. 2017’ 12th annual event, the largest business and professional awards program in the history of Long Island, according to Dr. Jeffrey Martin, medical director of North Shore Eye Care, a division of SightMD. Final results will be announced in December.
North Shore Eye Care, a division of SightMD joins a select number of local businesses and people who have been nominated for multiple awards in the Health & Wellness category. These include: Best Lasik Surgery Practice; Best Ophthalmologist; and Best Audiologist. Additionally, Samuel Baharestani, MD is nominated for Best Cosmetic Surgeon. The ‘Best of L.I. 2017’ event is sponsored by Bestof.LongIslandPress.com.

The ‘Best of Long Island’ involves more than 1 million people across Long Island who vote each year. This year’s participation by voters is expected to be another record turnout. The Best of Long Island contest is conducted each year by the Long Island Press newspaper and voting runs from October 1st to December 15th, a 75-day voting window in which everyone can vote for their favorite physician, business person, local store or business they feel should hold a Best of Long Island title.
“Having the local residents of Long Island include me in the voting for Best Cosmetic Surgeon is truly an honor,” said Dr. Baharestani. “I was fortunate enough to have won the category last year and I am humbled by my nomination this year. At the end of the voting period, the nominee with the most votes in each respective category will be awarded the distinction of Bethpage Best of LI 2017. If a national company receives the most votes, they will be awarded a national title and the local company with the most votes in that category will be awarded the Bethpage Best of LI 2017 distinction.
