Ms. Cardona has years of invaluable experience as a consultant, educator, and researcher in food science matters. About Linda Cardona
Ms. Cardona received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Universidad Iberoamericana. She continued her studies in Nutrition and Food Sciences in Chile at Universidad de Chile's Instituto de Nutrición y Tecnología de los Alimentos (INTA). She trained as a Chronic Diseases Specialist, with a focus on obesity and bariatric surgery, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease.
Since 2008, Ms. Cardona has worked as a private consultant to medical clinicians and surgeons who work with patients suffering from chronic diseases. Ms. Cardona has also taught nutrition and health at Universidad Iberoamericana and worked as a Diabetes and Arthritis Educator at Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas del Noroeste, S.C.
Ms. Cardona participates in several Dietetic Practice groups for Functional Medicine, Oncology Nutrition, and Entrepreneurs and Nutrition Support of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is member of the Colegio Mexicano de Nutriólogos and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). She is also a founding member and board advisor for the Asociación de Nutriólogos y Dietistas de Baja California.

The first role is to facilitate a safe transition from a liquid diet to solid foods as a patient recovers from surgery.
