Discover Korean Delicacy with CHEF'D Chef Angelo Sosa at the 2016 K-Food Fair
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 04, 2016 -- Korean cuisine is becoming more popular in the states as people realize the diverse flavors and benefits to be had. With the growing interest in Korean food, people are more readily searching for Korean delicacies that have yet to be experienced. The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), along with SB Groupe, are hosting the 2016 K-Food Fair at The TimesCenter in hopes to introduce American households to Korean ingredients and cultivate the idea that Korean cuisine can be easily prepared and readily enjoyed.
The 2016 K-Food Fair will introduce easily approachable Korean inspired recipes presented by CHEF'D. CHEF'D is a meal kit delivery platform that brings gourmet ingredients right to customers’ doors, on a meal by meal order. The portfolio of recipes is catered by top culinary minds and experienced chefs to ensure that meals are fit towards an individual’s preferred tastes. With the increasing popularity and growth of meal kit delivery services, aT hope to leverage the platform to further spread Korean food into American households across the continent as an easily accessible cuisine.
The main event on the Stage will star the world renowned Michelin Starred Top Chef Angelo Sosa. Chef Angelo, being an avid connoisseur of Korean food, catered three dishes in which he captured the essence of Korean flavors in simple recipes that can be prepared by anyone. Along with the Michelin Starred Korean Chef, Hooni Kim as the moderator, they will demonstrate how the dishes can be easily cooked and explain the intricate flavors and health benefits of the dishes.
After the main presentation on the Stage, guests will sample Korean inspired delicacies by Chef Angelo at the Gallery as well as other Korean dishes and cocktails to truly immerse themselves in the delicacies of Korean cuisine. The Gallery will also introduce traditional Korean ingredients and culinary products. Ranging from fermented Korean bean paste to traditional Korean alcohol, the K-Food Fair will showcase a variety of Korean flavors that have yet to be introduced into mainstream food culture in the states.
In order to further the dissemination of Korean food, aT has also prepared events with Korean Grocery Stores, H-Mart, Food Bazaar, and Lotte Market, as well as Korilla food trucks. To introduce Korean cuisine and the ingredients needed to prepare the dishes, these venues across the US will offer differing tasting menus to the public. Along with the introduction of Chef Angelo's Korean inspired recipe on CHEF'D, aT hopes to encourage more individuals to emulate Korean cuisine in their own homes.
Korean cuisine has indeed made many strides in the world and has made a distinct impression. However, many people still do not truly understand the intricacies that make Korean cuisine so special. Further, due to the foreignness of the ingredients and products, people have an aversion to trying different dishes or cooking Korean food at home. The 2016 K-Food Fair offers to change these perceptions by inviting people to experience, first-hand, what Korean cuisine has to offer. By introducing Korean ingredients and simple recipes, aT moves to take one more step forward towards the dissemination of Korean cuisine in America households, one meal at a time.
