MedicFP® announced today that it will reveal a home healthcare mobile technology that will prevent billing fraud for Medicaid and other healthcare programs.

“According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, home healthcare fraud has the largest percentage of improper payments of any type of care,” said MedicFP’s CEO Wendell Elms, “with the expansion of Medicaid, cost containment and patient protection is more important than ever in helping to make the program sustainable.”

The National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD) Fall Conference is being held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia on November 6 – 8, 2016. MedicFP® will be providing demonstrations of their technologies that combat fraud perpetrated at hospitals, out patient facilities and home health locations.

MedicFP’s technology helps government programs and commercial health plans prevent phantom billing and other fraudulent claims due to borrowed and stolen medical identities. The software flags problems with patient or provider identity and presence prior to medical treatment, enabling healthcare payers to avoid improper payments and protecting patients from erroneous healthcare bills and errors in their medical records.
