Connor Sports Provides Custom Court for the Armed Forces Classic

Connor Sports®, the industry leader in premium-quality sports surfaces, will provide and install the custom hardwood basketball court for the 2016 Armed Forces Classic on Friday, Nov. 11, at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, HI. The event is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, and hosted with the U.S. Navy.

Connor Sports®, the industry leader in premium-quality sports surfaces, will provide and install the custom hardwood basketball court for the 2016 Armed Forces Classic on Friday, Nov. 11, at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, HI. The event is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, and hosted with the U.S. Navy.

The 2016 Armed Forces Classic will be held on Veterans Day in Hawaii, which is less than one month from the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Classic will feature a doubleheader that will air on ESPN featuring No. 10 Arizona facing No. 12 Michigan State at 7 p.m. ET, followed by No. 3 Kansas vs. No. 11 Indiana.

The Armed Forces Classic brings premier college basketball games to our nation’s troops wherever they are stationed around the world. For five years, the U.S. Department of Defense and ESPN have presented the Armed Forces Classic in a rotation among bases of the various military branches, including:

  • 2012: Air Force hosted at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
  • 2013: Army hosted at Camp Humphreys in Korea
  • 2014: The Coast Guard hosted at Air Station Borinquen in Puerto Rico
  • 2015: The U.S. Marine Corps hosted at Camp Foster in Okinawa, Japan.
