ROHO, a business unit of Permobil, launches a new back made with similar materials and construction as Formula 1(R) yachts.

AGILITY CARBON (tm) back from ROHO (R) is launched.

"AGILITY CARBON is a game changer, and the next building block to make our AGILITY product line the premier backrest offering available," said Tom Borcherding, president of ROHO.

“Carbon is the new back” is the resounding theme for the new AGILITY CARBON™ back from ROHO, a business unit of Permobil. The new back is compression-molded and lightweight, featuring a 12K flat tow carbon fiber weave construction that combines high-strength performance with a streamlined design — using similar materials and construction to those used in Formula 1® race cars and America’s Cup yachts. The result is a precision-crafted back system that looks as great as it performs.

AGILITY CARBON sets a new industry standard for integrated hardware that is smaller, lighter and stronger than traditional hardware. The Zytel® angle adjustment discs lock into the carbon fiber to create an extremely solid backrest. When loosened, the discs allow the shell to rotate independently, providing 15 degrees of forward and rearward angle adjustment in distinct 5-degree increments. AGILITY CARBON widths range from 14" to 18" in 1" increments with two contours: minimum (3") and mid-contour (4"). AGILITY CARBON is available with three different shell heights: 10", 13" and 16".

“AGILITY CARBON is a game changer, and the next building block to make our AGILITY product line the premier backrest offering available. Our goal was to design the most elegant backrest in the world, and I believe we achieved this goal with this amazing new product,” said Tom Borcherding, president of ROHO.

AGILITY CARBON is exclusive on TiLite wheelchairs until it launches across the U.S. on November 15. For more information on these new backs, visit http://hub.permobil.com/rohocarbon.
