St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) November 10, 2016 -- NWL STL recently agreed to terms with wrestling superstar Jake Dirden, who will compete in St. Louis as Jack Foster.
League president Major Baisden, who oversaw the proceedings during a recent press conference at NWL Headquarters in downtown Kansas City, hailed Foster's signing as one of the League's biggest yet.
"Jack Foster has competed around the world, but he enters NWL STL with a blank canvas on which to create his career masterpiece," Baisden says. "Standing at 6 feet, 6 inches tall, with a size 18 boot, Foster's easily one of the most intimidating competitors I've ever seen. Frankly, there may not be another athlete in the League who can match Foster's intensity or his intelligence."
Foster says he views NWL STL as an opportunity to cement his legacy as one of the best big men in the business and take wrestling back to its gritty roots in St. Louis.
"When I look around, I don't see the same wrestling I grew up watching," Foster explains. "I've fought in St. Louis before but never for St. Louis. I want this city to be proud of wrestling again. I'm bringing old-school pro wrestling back to St. Louis, and I don't care who I have to step on to make that happen. Pretty soon, everyone in St. Louis will be talking about Jack Foster."
