2017 iaedp™ Symposium Announces Second Call for Entry for the 7th Annual Imagine Me Art Competition
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) November 11, 2016 -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) announces a second Call for Entry to participate in the 7th annual “Imagine Me Beyond What You See” body image mannequin art competition. The art competition finalists and winner will be showcased during the 2017 iaedp Symposium on March 22 – 26 at the Green Valley Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.
The mixed-medium works are judged on clarity of theme, creativity and originality, quality of composition and design and the overall impression and presentation of the artwork. The 2017 judges include Michelle Dean, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, CG, Board Certified Art Psychotherapist and Professional Member of American Art Therapy Association; Fritz Liedtke, photographic and fine artist; and Leigh Cohn, MAT, CEDS, author, artist and owner of Gurze Books.
“Entries submitted in the past have included mannequins created by clients, residents, counselors and art therapists in collaboration with treatment centers, both residential and outpatient, hospital and private practice,” said Blanche Williams, MS and Assistant Managing Director at the iaedp Foundation. “Each year, we look forward to the creativity that makes this art competition so truly unique.”
The Imagine Me Beyond What You See Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, March 23 during opening night at the 2017 iaedp Symposium. The awards presentation will include the Professionals’ Choice Award, which is selected through voting by iaedp membership, 2017 Symposium attendees and the general public.
