“The attention to detail from the parks and gardens to the home designs and streetscape are appealing to those looking for an authentic, small town sense of place.”
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (PRWEB) November 11, 2016
The Charleston Home Builders Association (CHBA) has named Summers Corner -- a new community bringing a fresh, unfiltered interpretation of Lowcountry life -- Best New Community in Charleston. The award was given at the annual PRISM award program on November 4.
Summers Corner also took home the PRISM award for Best Sales and Information Center. Meanwhile, Dan Ryan Builders won a PRISM for Best Single Family Home for its Keeneland II model.
The PRISM Awards recognize excellence in the field of sales, marketing, construction, and promotion of new homes in greater Charleston. The “best new community” category includes those with 100 or more lots that have been marketed for less than 18 months.
“Summers Corner is a community that connects people to each other and to the environment around them,” said Kenneth T. Seeger, president, WestRock Community Development and Land Management. “The attention to detail from the parks and gardens to the home designs and streetscape are appealing to those looking for an authentic, small town sense of place.”
Four homebuilders – Sabal Homes, Dan Ryan Builders, FrontDoor Communities and Saussy Burbank – are building or have move-in-ready homes at Summers Corner today. Nearly a dozen families have moved in, and more are scheduled to arrive in coming weeks.
Located just outside of downtown Summerville, Summers Corner is home to the Corner House Café, Dorchester District Two’s new Sand Hill Elementary, the Clemson Extension Master Gardener office, a 95-acre freshwater lake, and a diversity of parks designed by award-winning Landscape Architect, Fred Bonci.
The new Rollings Middle School of the Arts and a 1,000-seat performing arts center are under construction and due to open in 2017.
