“Tickets for Troops” Gives Complimentary ODU Game Tickets to Service Members and Veterans
Virginia Beach, Va (PRWEB) November 11, 2016 -- Thanks to a 3-year-old partnership between Old Dominion University and Virginia Beach-based military supplier ADS Inc., thousands of active duty military members and veterans can see ODU sporting events for free.
The $25,000 annual contribution to ODU from ADS provides up to four tickets for military service members to any football, basketball, baseball game or wrestling match. All year long.
“We’re always looking for meaningful ways to give back to our community. “Tickets for Troops” has been a great opportunity for us because it brings the local excitement of ODU athletics together with our military who give and do so much, said Jason Wallace, CEO of ADS, Inc. “More than a quarter of our employees are former military or military family members, so this is a special source of pride for us.”
To get free tickets to any men or women’s ODU game, a service member simply has to visit YNotTix and click the ODU Athletics icon, then click the “Tickets for Troops” button and use the promo code TROOPS.
The supply of complimentary tickets is limited per game and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets become available two weeks prior to any game. A military ID is required for each ticket and must be presented when tickets are picked up at Will Call.
“It’s a small contribution for our company but we know it makes a big difference to the veterans, service members and family members who want to enjoy a game,” Wallace said. “I don’t know of anyone who deserves it more than our troops.”
