The 2016 MarCom Awards recently announced eight honors for outstanding creative achievements from Magnani Continuum Marketing, a Chicago-based marketing agency, including two Platinum awards —the highest MarCom honor— for the Cat’s Pride® “Cats are Complicated” campaign. Magnani’s awards recognized the integrated marketing campaign created for Cat’s Pride as well as their TV commercial campaign, which featured actress Katherine Heigl as the face and voice of the campaign to promote Cat’s Pride® Fresh & Light Ultimate Care®. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition hosted by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals to honor excellence and recognize the creativity, hard work and generosity of marketing and communication professionals. The competition reviews nearly 6,000 entries annually.
Magnani was honored for an integrated campaign developed for Cat’s Pride which included TV, print, digital, social and radio advertising as well for its TV commercial campaign which highlighted Heigl as a recurring character as a cat/owner couples’ therapist. Throughout the campaign, Heigl’s character helps owners have a more meaningful and positive relationship with their cats, reinforcing how using the best-performing Fresh & Light Ultimate Care can reduce tensions all around and create healthier interactions between cats and their people. Magnani also received Platinum MarCom Awards for a direct mail campaign created for the Marriott St. Louis account as well as a TV commercial campaign for Molina Healthcare.
Continuing the honors, the agency won a Gold Award for their work on Evoqua (Information Branding Video) and won three honorable mentions for their work on CNA Prepwise (Social Media Campaign), AARP (Jobs Work) and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (Branding Refresh).

The MarCom Awards is a creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
