Some of the common symptoms of migraines include a headache, vomiting, and fear of light. Because everybody suffering from migraines can have different symptoms, there are also multiple treatment options available on the market. It is important that people understand the different treatment options to find a treatment that works best for them. Some of the treatment options for mild headaches include anti-inflammatories such as Motrin or ibuprofen. For people whose migraines come more frequently, there is another medicine called sumatriptan. For others, the headaches can be, so intractable that they may consider undergoing a procedure called an occipital nerve block. In this procedure, a needle is used to inject a numbing medication into the nerve that is responsible for transmitting the pain associated with migraines.
