DefenseStorm has opened a new office in Alpharetta, Georgia. The company expands their sales force, customer support, and footprint as the leading security data platform provider for community banks and credits unions in the U.S.

Having served as a Board Member and Chairman of The Technology Alliance of Georgia, I know the rich history of security companies in the Atlanta market, so placing our first east coast location in Alpharetta was an easy decision.

DefenseStorm, the leading security data platform provider for banks and credits unions in the U.S. announced today they have opened a new office in Alpharetta, Georgia. The expansion allows the company to further their offer of best in class customer service to its midwest and east coast customer base, while also recruiting top notch cybersecurity talent. The move brought several hiring opportunities to the area and DefenseStorm reports they have expanded their sales force, Guardian team, and executive team. Ken Williams joins DefenseStorm as Chief Financial Officer to help steer the company through a fast-paced period of growth. DefenseStorm's headquarters will remain in Seattle, WA where the company was originally founded.

DefenseStorm CEO, Sean Feeney, and Williams saw great success working together at Inovis and will be a dynamic team once again as they lead DefenseStorm through another round of growth.

“I am excited about working with Ken again in the Alpharetta area. We had a great run with Inovis before our sale to GXS (Opentext) in 2010,” Feeney said.

Georgia has eight nationally recognized cybersecurity programs at colleges and universities statewide. Atlanta holds the distinction of pioneering, incubating, and accelerating cybersecurity technologies; growing Atlanta’s share of the cybersecurity marketspace to nearly 25% of the $5B global market. Augusta, GA established itself as a cybersecurity hub this summer when the city welcomed the National Technology Security Coalition. Augusta is also home to Fort Gordon’s Cyber Center of Excellence and the U.S. Army Cyber Command.
