Lumus Names Dr. Yochay Danziger New CTO, Dan Emodi VP of Marketing
Rechovot, Israel (PRWEB) November 17, 2016 -- Lumus, a developer of groundbreaking transparent displays for augmented reality (AR) and smart eyewear, today announced the appointment of Dr. Yochay Danziger as chief technology officer and Dan Emodi as vice president of marketing. “The addition of Yochay and Dan is the latest cornerstone in our overall drive to create a powerful and diverse leadership team that will carry Lumus into the next growth phase,” says CEO Ben Weinberger. The two join an executive roster that has been bolstered over the last year and charged with supporting Lumus’ continuous innovation and corporate growth.
Dr. Danziger, a physicist with deep experience in the electro-optics industry, is responsible for conceiving future technology at Lumus. He most recently served as chief electro-optical engineer at Elbit Systems, Ltd. and vice president of engineering and hardware CTO at VisionMap. Danziger was also previously a physicist and technologies initiator at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. He worked in the defense industry for more than a decade, initiating and implementing new technologies such as cameras and seekers (visible and IR), signal and image processing, 3D reconstruction, and lasers (low and high power). After completing his doctorate at the Weizmann Institute of Science, he founded LaserCom, developing optical transformation for fiber optics.

Emodi brings a unique perspective on technology, engineering, and marketing to Lumus, where he will develop new initiatives to enhance the company’s position in the AR marketplace. He has diverse experience as a senior marketing executive for Israeli-based startups, and has been a featured speaker at TED, CNN, the New York Times, and other international venues. Emodi previously served as vice president of marketing and strategic accounts at Beyond Verbal Communication, Ltd. Prior to that he led product marketing and international marketing at Cisco Systems, and headed marketing at Orbotech and Comverse Technology, Inc. Early in his career Emodi worked as a sous-chef before transitioning to financial journalism, investment banking and technology pre-sales.
