Celebrate the Holiday Sea-son at the South Carolina Aquarium
Charleston, S.C. (PRWEB) November 18, 2016 -- The South Carolina Aquarium is celebrating the magic of the holidays under the sea. Starting on Black Friday, guests entering the Great Hall will feel as if they’ve walked into a winter wonderland, with holiday décor throughout the gallery. Just a few steps away, Scuba Claus, the jolly old fellow in the red scuba suit, will dive in the Aquarium’s Great Ocean Tank. When Scuba Claus is away, his special elf helpers will dive during the week. Holiday dive shows will take place November 25 through December 23 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. During the first three weekends in December, the Aquarium will also distribute complimentary snowman cookies.
The Aquarium’s newest experience, BricksALIVE, will see the addition of new, unique holiday elements as well. Guests to the Aquarium will be greeted by a giant LEGO® present as they walk up the Aquarium’s main ramp, a perfect spot for a holiday photo. Inside the Aquarium, Finzy the LEGO® Shark on the Shelf will be hidden in a secret spot. Guests that find Finzy will receive an exclusive holiday surprise. Additionally, on November 25 the Aquarium will unveil a new LEGO® sculpture of a Charleston landmark determined by online voting earlier this year. Fans voted for their favorite Lowcountry icon, and the Pineapple Fountain, sponsored by South Carolina Federal Credit Union, took home the win!
Guests who visit the Aquarium from Black Friday until December 10 will also enjoy $5 off adult admission if they bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. The first 100 people to donate will receive a free South Carolina Aquarium coffee mug.
