We are grateful to MediaPost for this recognition and especially thankful to our great Clients and talented employees who are the true winners today.

Acronym (http://www.acronym.com), the largest and longest established independent agency of its kind, announced today to be the winner of the 2016 Search Agency of the Year Award. This prestigious honor, bestowed by the editorial board of MediaPost, recognizes those that were able to rise above the rest and represented the best of class in the advertising community.

“We’re going through a dramatic period of rapid innovation with our technology platform and are launching new unique offerings that expand our service portfolio for enterprise-level search,” said Anton Konikoff, Acronym’s Founder. “We are grateful to MediaPost for this recognition and especially thankful to our great Clients and talented employees who are the true winners today.”

In 2016 Acronym celebrated its 21st year as an independent Search Marketing shop as it secured a US patent for its invention of “Keyword-Provided” algorithm, earned high scores in both Forrester’s Search Agencies Wave and TEI (total economic impact) ROI study of its Keyword Objects® SaaS technology platform.

“It is the year the independent *did* win,” joked Mike Grehan, the Company’s CMO and Chairman of SEMPO (the global search industry trade association). “We keep our Clients ahead of the curve by focusing on consumer psychology and intent; tracking and mining consumer behavior data to uncover and map crucial, content rich, micro-moments on the buyer journey.”

This coveted Agency of the Year award adds to a winning streak for the Empire State Building based company. In August, CEO Selina Eizik was named to the Direct Marketing News (DMN) 40-Under-40 company executives list. In September, the agency received Search Engine Land’s notable Landy Award in the Best Overall Enterprise SEM category for its work with Scotts Miracle-Gro. In October, Acronym won The Technology Innovator of the Year award specifically for best-in-class intent-based marketing methodology.

Acronym will be honored at the MediaPost Agency of the Year awards ceremony, which takes place at The Yale Club in New York City on January 25, 2017.
