Among our first awards representing The Imaging Alliance, we wanted to turn our attention to honoring retailers that have created innovative strategies to connect with consumers

Adorama, one of the world’s largest photography, video, audio, imaging and electronics retailers, has been named one of three recipients of the 2017 Visionary Retailer Awards by The Imaging Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes the growth and sustainable development of both current and future imaging applications. Alongside Glazer’s Camera and Best Buy, Adorama will be honored for its achievements in imaging retail at The Imaging Alliance’s Celebrate Imaging event on the eve of CES 2017 on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Las Vegas.

“Among our first awards representing The Imaging Alliance, we wanted to turn our attention to honoring retailers that have created innovative strategies to connect with consumers,” said Jerry Grossman, executive director of Imaging Alliance, said in the organization’s official press release. “Our board of directors agreed to look at three classes of retail – photo specialty, Internet and national retail, and find leaders in each discipline that fit our criteria of pushing the envelope in retail practices.”

“We’d like to thank The Imaging Alliance for this great honor and being recognized as an innovator in imaging retail,” comments Lev Peker, chief marketing officer at Adorama. “We’re proud to have cultivated such a tightknit and passionate community of photographers, videographers and creatives through our online platforms, Adorama Learning Center and AdoramaTV. Exciting campaigns like ‘Top Photographer with Nigel Barker,’ have given us the amazing opportunity to connect with so many talented image makers across the country and even globe. By embarking on initiatives like this that break from the norm, we strongly align with The Imagine Alliance’s vision of an industry that embraces disruptive technology and evolved visual communication.”
