Chris Kyle Frog Foundation Expands Programming Through Grant From The Moody Foundation
Midlothian, Texas (PRWEB) November 28, 2016 -- The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, dedicated to honoring God, Country and families who serve by providing experiences that strengthen military and first responder marriages and families, is humbled and honored to receive a $100,000 grant from The Moody Foundation in support of future programming. The grant, paid out over the next two years, will help launch the foundation’s Mastering Your Marriage program slated for a pilot launch in 2017.
Mastering Your Marriage will provide military and first responder marriages a level of support not currently available. The program will encompass an orientation weekend for married couples who pledge to transform their marriages by committing to a 6-month curriculum that will include coaching provided by subject-matter-experts, and support by clinicians in training. The clinician aspect is significant, as these clinicians also will use Mastering Your Marriage as an opportunity to learn more about the unique challenges faced by families who serve.
“We are incredibly grateful to our friends at The Moody Foundation for their generous support of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation,” said Taya Kyle, executive director, Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. “Our goal with this new program is to change the landscape of support for military and first responder marriages by transforming the clinicians who are on the front lines of healing the invisible wounds of service. Mastering Your Marriage rounds out our existing programs by engaging both the couples we serve as well as the mental health practitioners who support these families in an entirely new way. Our long term vision includes evidence-based research that the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation can share nationally.“
Since its inception on Veteran’s Day 2014, the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation has engaged almost 400 military and first responder couples through its Revitalization Retreats and Date Night Out programming.
“The Moody Foundation acknowledges the sacrifices veterans and their families make every day and the challenges they face in coming home,” said Francie Moody-Dahlberg, trustee, executive director, The Moody Foundation. “We are honored to support the unique approach to support the strengthening of military families by the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.”
